“Beautiful Love”

This week, I bring you jazz.

This tune is called “Beautiful Love.”

I’ve been studying this piece for a while,

and after probably over a year of fiddling with it,

I finally feel like I really “know” the tune.

Jazz is a hard genre to figure out, especially on the guitar.

Although I’ve been studying it for many years,

I’m still quite shy playing jazz for others because of how easy

it is to completely lose your flow in a song when there’s

no one else to accompany you.

I spent most of Sunday trying to get a

take of this tune I felt happy about, and after

over a dozen attempts, I managed to get one where I didn’t

lose the form while either improvising or playing the chord melody.

This take has some nice charm to it. Maybe more jazz to come?
